Meet Eligibility Requirements

Families must meet eligibility criteria such as income, home address, and more.

Build Through Sweat Equity

To own a Habitat home, families must complete 200 hours of "SWEAT EQUITY" before they can move into their homes. Habitat families help build their homes with the help of volunteers.

Purchase a Home

Habitat homeowners purchase their homes with an affordable, 0% interest mortgage, making homeownership more accessible and sustainable.

Become a Homeowner

Families are responsible for the maintenance and repairs of their home from the time they sign the mortgage.

Ongoing Support

Habitat's partnership with homeowners continues long after closing, offering ongoing support and encouragement as they make mortgage payments, build equity, and create lasting financial stability.

Habitat for Humanity

The ReStore funds the mission of Habitat for Humanity by selling donated and new home good items directly to the public. Funds raised by the ReStore contribute to the cost of building Habitat homes, as well as cover many administrative and operational expenses. This provides donors the opportunity for their donation to go directly to the building of decent, affordable and safe homes here in Comal County.
